Visions
This page is dedicated to my hobby of photography. My preference is towards
landscapes and panoramas. Ever since my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic, I have
been cutting photos and assembling them into panoramas. In these days of digital
photography, of course, this process is much simpler, quicker and provides much
more satisfying results.

Lightning
Lightning photography can be quite
challenging. Often conditions are just not favourable, but when a successful
shot is captured, it is very rewarding.

This image was
assembled by stacking 7 images (including the 3 above) in Registax v4.0.
The combined image was then adjusted for levels, cropped resized and
saved for the web in Photoshop CS2. |
Sepia and Monochrome
Some subjects just look better in
monochrome or sepia, particularly if the subject is old or has links to olden
times. Sometimes the subject and composition is good, but the colours just don't
work or detract from the image.

Search and Rescue
With my background in Search and Rescue, I
have taken quite a lot of these photos. Sometimes unusual if not extraordinary
photo opportunities arise as a result or doing the out of the ordinary things
that search and rescue requires.
