Milky Way

This image was taken on an October long weekend camping trip to Twin Peaks (near Yerranderie, NSW) in 2005. It was taken on an Olympus OM-1 on a fixed tripod with Sigma 16mm f2.8 fisheye lens and Fuji Sensia 800 print film. Exposure was roughly 5 minutes so star trails are evident. The print was scanned and levels were adjusted in Photoshop. This image has been reduced in size for the web. Click on the image to see it at 1280 pixels wide (still a reduced size image).

 I like this one as a desktop - I'm going to have to do it again piggy-back!
